The mark of a great man is one who knows when to set aside the important things in order to accomplish the vital ones.

I've mentioned this before in a previous blog post, but defining priorities and setting boundaries are absolutely crucial to business and in life. As momentum picks up in your business, don't allow yourself to neglect the ones that supported your business endeavors in the first place. Family always comes before business.

At the same time, set boundaries. Allocate time for work and allocate time for family. Don't let the two overlap each other. Of course, there will be times when your business demands more work hours, and there will be times when your family needs more of your attention. The key to this is over-communication. Talk to your family and be clear with what's going on, and re-emphasize that information again and again so that everyone is on the same page. I can't tell you the number of problems I've experienced due to the lack of communication.

Case in point, don't let business control you. You control your business.
