This week has been absolutely mental! Things at work are the busiest they've ever been with projects and deadlines. At the same time, momentum for my business is starting to pick up and I don't want to lose that momentum. If I keep planning ahead, delegating tasks, and continue what I'm doing, I can just about manage. However, there is one thing dragging me and that's catching up on emails. That's a full-time job in itself.
Recently, I've been starting to get emails and messages from potential clients and people to collaborate with. It's actually pretty exciting. However, work has been so busy that I haven't been able to promptly respond, that these emails and messages stack up like a pile of laundry. So this morning, I woke up at 4:00am to specifically catch up on all my emails, messages on Facebook, and even text messages pertaining to my business. Sometimes, you just need to carve out a time in your schedule to simply just do that and nothing else. Hopefully now that I'm caught up, I won't let emails and messages pile up again. I can't afford to lose momentum.
It's a lot less painful to catch up than to stop your momentum to start again.
