Today was the first time in four years I stepped foot into the village of Kiamaiko. Four years ago I got to connect with the kids in the school, and four years later they still remember me. Ruth was the first kid to recognize me, followed by nearly a dozen more. That really got to me today and I realized one very important lesson: To remember people is to value people.
Ruth showed value to me by simply remembering my name. As an entrepreneur, I need to show value in similar ways to the people I work with. My take away: Valuing people goes a lifetime.
