Day 63: Why Seasons Shouldn't Exist

We can let circumstances rule us, or we can take charge and rule our lives from within.

Yesterday was a crazy day editing three videos and filming seven scenes. Today is going to be the same if not harder. At first, I thought this is just a season and then I'll have more time for my business. Then a dear friend told me that if we keep saying, "It's just a season," then we focus on the season and not the issue. For me, the issue is time. If I can learn how to own my time and tell my day what to do, then I can remain steady through the "seasons" of life.

Maybe there aren't any seasons at all. Maybe this is just life. If that's the case, then it all comes down to being clever: figuring out where your weaknesses are and delegating tasks; looking at your calendar and planning ahead; learning to say no and being careful to say yes. I refuse to neglect time with my wife because of a "season." When I have kids, I refuse to neglect time with them growing up because of a "season." I'm starting to believe that "seasons" are simply excuses that prevent you from owning your time and controlling your life.

Don't look to the season. Practice time ownership and take back your life.
